Fixture Dates & Venues

Numbers will be issued by the Meeting Manager to one representative from each club. Competitors must collect their numbers from their club's team manager(s). Males will wear white numbers between 1 and 700, females green numbers between 701 and 1000.

Guest runners (i.e. with no affiliation to any of the member clubs) should collect their numbers from the Meeting Manager for a charge of £2 and must return the disc to the same person

FIXTURE INFORMATION

Fixture 1: Claybury, Woodford. 8th October 2011

Set in beautiful parkland this venue is very popular. The various courses are predominately made of undulating paths of grass and usually hard soil in open areas for easy spectating in many locations. There is a small wooded section which is where the main climb of the venue is located. The whole course is suitable for spikes however trainers are a good option if the ground is hard which it tends to be at Claybury.

Narrow, predominantly flat and exposed parkland with a long twisty wooded stretch.

Predominantly wooded, traditional, tough, twisty and undulating course. Various key spectator points within the beautiful woods to watch the action.

Fixture 4: Trent Park 14th January 2012

Trent Park is a very large and historic landscaped park and an ideal place to bring the family to watch the races. The courses are on open fields with rough grass that can get very boggy in places so running spikes are required plus it is very hilly throughout with a steep climb to the finish.

Fixture 5: Horsenden Hill 11th February 2012

Undulating course on open interlinking fields which include a number of sports pitches. Liable to be very soft underfoot throughout.

FIXTURE UPDATE: 13:00 Friday 10th February 2012.

· The course is completely covered in 1-2" of snow and as a result this makes the going more hazardous than usual. Athletes should wear the appropriate clothing/footwear.
· No plans to cancel unless there is further heavy snowfall (not forecast)
· Travel by public transport the best option (no planned closures on Central Line)
· Some of the gaps on the course (all marshal points) have wooden crossing bridges which are, as a result of the conditions, currently a bit slippery
· Although surrounding streets are clear of snow, pavements are icy and the course is expected to still be covered in snow on race day
